There’s so much speculation on the Celtic manager vacancy, we’re almost overlooking the player turnover that’s likely to take place in just a few months.
The biggest loss to Celtic’s playing staff is Odsonne Edouard. The Frenchman is on the lookout for his new club and the Hoops board know they need to sell him in the summer window to get a fee for their star striker.
It’s not been a vintage season for Eddy but he still leads the club’s scoring charts and he’s going to prove a massive figure to replace.
That being said, we need as much money as possible for him to make sure any new manager has some funds behind him to replace the frontman.
HITC are reporting Arsenal are still seriously considering bringing the Frenchman in this summer to add to their firepower. Having seen first hand a Celtic player can more than take the step up from Glasgow to London it’s a route that could bear fruits for both parties.
Eddy could get his money spinning move and reunite with Kieran Tierney while Celtic receive a large fee for the French forward.
If there was a way of keeping Odsonne past this summer, it would be ideal, but it doesn’t seem in the cards.
