Christopher Jullien has not kicked a ball for Celtic since December 2020.

The Frenchman has been back on the training field for around a month at this point but is still not at the stage where he can be considered for selection.

It stands to reason after such a lengthy layoff that also incorporated surgery and major rehab that Christopher’s route back to the first team would be slow.

SunSport report the defender is still not in a position to even be in the squad for Celtic and will be left behind in Glasgow when the team head for Germany later this week.

The Hoops are set to take on Bayer Leverkusen knowing they most probably need to get some sort of result against the German side if they want to progress in the Europa League.

Ange Postecoglou’s men have already wrapped up the Conference League spot at the very minimum – but we have to shoot for second while it’s will within our remit.

If results go our way on match day 5, it could set up a showdown with Real Betis in the final game at Celtic Park.
