CELTIC loan star Filip Benkovic has made an emotional gesture to his parent club Leicester by dedicating Celtic’s semi-final win to his parent club after the tragic event of Saturday night.

Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha along with others were killed when his helicopter crashed just outside Leicester’s stadium minutes after takeoff from inside the ground.

The football world is in mourning and Filip who has not got to know his Leicester family quite yet wants them to know he’s thinking of them.

“I give this win to the families of those who have died. I met the owner and he was an unbelievable person. I really don’t know what else to say about him. It’s such a difficult time.

“It really is a family club, Leicester. I could see that in a month. You could see it within the first few days.

“Everybody is very close there but I haven’t spoken to anyone there yet.

“This news was very, very bad for everyone. Nobody expected an accident like that.”

Benkovic has been a standout for Celtic since he moved on-Lon from Leicester.

We at Celtsarehere would also like to extend our condolences to the victims and the people of Leicester Football Club.
