This season has been extremely disappointing with very few things to be positive about.

If Celtic fans were asked to name one though, one name would probably come to mind as having a successful season and positive display on the Celtic side. That player is David Turnbull.

On social media this afternoon, an impressive statistic went on to show just how big an impact he was having in what has been a struggling Celtic side over the last few months.

The Twitter account @fbwonderkids revealed that Turnbull has played more key passes than any midfielder in the u23s category across the whole of Europe. Being ahead of the likes of Jadon Sancho and Mason Mount who are known worldwide as some of the best youngsters in football at the moment.

When you remember that Turnbull was only really introduced in the side around November/December time, a stat like this is something to be very excited about.

We have seen the impact that the 21-year old has on a poor Celtic side, so how good will be if we can get fully firing.

It is clear to see the talent he possesses and many would argue that the team should be built around a player like him next season. It is certainly an exciting prospect going forward when it comes to the Celtic number 14
