CELTIC PLAYERS are due back at Lennoxtown this morning to take part in their first training session with Neil Lennon as the permanent manager of the Scottish Champions.

Neil Lennon was offered the job a little over three weeks ago just minutes after the bhoys had capped off their season with the treble treble. Twenty-three days later, the Irishman is getting set to start a new campaign with the side he took over in February.

Most Celtic players are due back but there’s a portion of the squad who won’t join up with the rest of the team just yet with anyone who took part in international duty afforded some extra time for a break.

Neil Lennon was hoping to have David Turnbull through the doors before their first training session but the news on Friday and Celtic’s subsequent social media post has seen the move stall.

The Celtic manager will be hoping for a resolution on that particular deal as soon as possible.
