CELTIC are looking to defend the League Cup for the fourth consecutive time and they must go through their Glasgow rivals this evening in order to reach the semi-final of this year’s competition.

A very tedious and scrappy game against Dunfermline in the last round should serve as a warning to Celtic not to take Partick Thistle lightly and Neil Lennon has certainly not done that with his team selection.

As promised by the Celtic manager Craig Gordon has been brought back into the fray for the Cup.

This is the last round before the games go to Hampden. Although last season – fixture congestion and a cock up by the league seen Celtic and Hearts face each other at Murrayfield in the semi-final.

The bhoys will want to be there regardless of where the venue will be.

It’s a strong team with a few players who must be ready to make a point to their manager. Bayo gets to lead the line tonight with Edouard benched and Griffiths out injured. Is there any way back for Scott Sinclair? The Englishman makes the bench tonight, a lot of Celtic fans want to see him brought back into the fold.

Fans will be delighted to see Tom Rogic back on the team sheet and hopefully, he can get a good hour under his belt tonight. Frimpong and Jack Hendry are probably the other surprise additions, Frimpong gets a start after a deadline day move while Hendry who was expected to leave on deadline day makes the bench.
