PATRYK KLIMALA played over 80 minutes of Poland’s under 21 side on Tuesday night as he the player gets prepared to head back to Scotland.

Poland played out a 1-1 draw with Bulgaria.

Paddy is probably the club’s fittest striker at the moment but we haven’t got any indication from Neil Lennon yet, what he’s thinking for the derby.

The Polish striker could potentially start the game on Saturday if the Celtic manager deems Leigh Griffiths, Odsonne Edouard and Albian Ajeti not fit enough to start the tie.

Ajeti is just coming back from injury and hasn’t played a game since going off injured against Hibernian, Odsonne Edouard hasn’t played since the St Johnstone tie after being diagnosed as positive for COVID-19; he will only be allowed to travel back to Scotland on the eve of the game and Leigh has only played 12 minutes of first team football this season.

On their day, any one of these strikers could do damage. Neil Lennon will only have a short time to assess his options fully and we might not even get an indication in the manager’s pre-match press conference on Friday.

  1. Neil and John, will be their usual calm selfs, the team may be a bit more difficult to pick. The subs will be a critical part of their choice. As Killie are relying on just five or six main players and their under eighteen squad in their Cup game. It gives them all brain ache but your season doesn’t change in only one league game.
