It has been confirmed today Celtic have loaned Kieran McGrath to Knattspyrnudeild Grottu for the season according to SunSport.

The 19-year-old hasn’t yet had a start for the Scottish champions but has represented Scotland under-16s. The bhoy impressed the lowland league when he was on loan to East Kilbride in August 2019 and returning to paradise in February 2020.

Knattspyrnudeild Grottu sit bottom of the league after three games this season, they’ll hoping the young star can help the team up the table. With the Kieran only 19-years-old he has plenty of time to evolve into a better player.

If he comes back after being at the Icelandic team, possibly looking to make his way into the team and making his first appearance at Parkhead in a cup tie. But if Kieran does not come back its might be the best thing for him to actually play instead of no appearances at all.

McGrath tweeted “Delighted to get this sorted [and] looking forward to the next couple of months.”

We wish the young lad all the best for the season.
