According to reports, Vakoun Bayo has asked Celtic for a January move to get more game time.

Bayo has been on the periphery of the Celtic side over the past year with injury hampering his attempts to make any sort of impact.

It’s believed the Ivory Coast under 23 has requested to go out on loan to get game time and match sharp, SunSport reports.

Since coming in last January the striker has only made 13 appearances in total.

Now, with Patryk Klimala in the door, Bayo wants to get his career back up and running and show what he can do.

If there was sufficient interest in the player within Scottish football – it could be a no brainer to send the centre forward to a team in this league to get better prepared.

However, a loan deal elsewhere might be more likely.

The player being proactive on the and wanting to prove his ability could end up saving his Celtic career long term.
