Celtic striker Jack Aitchison looks like he’s set to ditch the developmental side and head down south until January with a move to Forest Green on the cards.

RecordSport claim the Celtic striker is all set to move to the English side before tonight’s midnight deadline.

Aitchison hasn’t been able to make a proper breakthrough but holds the record as Celtic’s youngest ever scorer when Brendan Rodgers played him in the final game of the season against Motherwell. Netting a goal at just 16 years of age and 71 days.

It’s unclear if the player has a future in the Celtic first team but with the developmental side having no proper league to play in this term. It’s better Celtic’s younger talent go out and get real game time.

Celtic are still working on deals to allow players to come in and leave before the deadline. We’re approaching the end of this long summer window and fans are hoping for a late flurry.
