Celtic were linked with a move for English striker Lyle Taylor. It was Sky Sports who claimed the club had made an approach for the former Charlton player. [Read More Here]

This looks NOT to be the case, however, with SunSport reporting on Friday morning the striker is not on Celtic’s transfer wish list.

The club are in the market for a striker which has given the media plenty of ammo to link just about every striker available at the moment.

The club have held talks with several different targets but as we understand it – Taylor hasn’t been one of them.

The transfer window doesn’t close until October 5, which means the club have time on their side with regards to bringing reinforcements in. The current team should be able to negotiate through qualifiers and any striker who does come in won’t be an immediate starter anyway.

Celtic head to a Rugby Park on Sunday to play match day two of the SPFL – another convincing win should be on the agenda.
