CELTIC have suffered an injury setback ahead of Wednesday night’s Europa League tie against AZ Alkmaar.
The Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou has confirmed the player who picked up a knock before the game against Hearts at the weekend has not made it in time for the playoff tie.
Ryan has been a breath of fresh air this season, playing mostly on the left. His performance against Dundee was incredible and he looks a totally different player from last season.
Unfortunately, we can’t call upon the midfielder as the Dutch side visit Celtic Park but there is one piece of good news.
Liel Abada is fit and in the squad after missing out on the last two games through injury.
Ange Postecoglou says Liel Abada will be fit for tomorrow but Ryan Christie will miss out.
He says the club are “very close” to a couple of deals.
He added right-back Josip Juranovic is one of a number of players they’ve been linked with but wouldn’t be drawn on individuals

The Israeli has had a positive start to his Celtic career and will be hoping to continue his momentum against Alkmaar. James Forrest could find himself on the left hand side of a front three to accommodate Abada or Ange could again put Kyogo on the left and Eddy through the middle like he done against Hearts.
We do have options, which is good.
Let us take more of the chances this game and try and put this game to bed before the return leg,do this celtic
