CELTIC looks like they will miss on out on one of their top targets to replace Lee Congerton with John Park on the brink of a Director of Football job at Sunderland according to MailSport.
The report claims Celtic and in-particular Neil Lennon were keen to bring the former scout back who was credited with finding players like Victor Wanyama and Virgil van Dijk but it appears the English club have all but secured the talented scout.
If John Park does sign on at the Stadium of Light it’s likely to be a long term deal where he will be tasked with helping the manager get to the EPL.
Celtic waved goodbye to Lee Congerton at the weekend after a calamitous two years at the club where he did very little in the way of finding new stars. Celtic must fill the role with someone who can deliver but it looks likes it won’t be John Park.
