CELTIC could welcome back Benjamin Siegrist into the fold this afternoon at Celtic Park if the Swiss stopper is deemed fit enough to take a place on the bench.

The former Dundee Utd man has made two appearances for the club since joining in the summer –  both coming in the League Cup before he went down with an injury.

After being spotted back in training a couple of weeks back, the goalkeeper posted images of himself at Lennoxtown on Friday evening, showing he was back in full training.

It means Benjamin could be available for the Hibernian game and would take his place as the backup to Joe Hart.

It’s been an unfortunate time for Benjamin. There was the thought that he would have got the semi-final and potentially the final of the league cup had he been fit after being used in the prior two rounds. An injury stopped that in its tracks, and as we head towards the end of the season, it looks like there’s little opportunity for the player to make many more appearances

If Celtic could wrap up the title before the final game of the season, then minutes might come his way.
