Former Celtic scout John Park has joined the set up at Polish side Legia Warsaw as part of the international scouting department.

As reported by the Daily Record, the once formed Hibs coach move to Celtic as a scout in 2007 and spent nine years at the club having somewhat of a mixed success.

During his spell, he would be part of the team who signed the likes of Virgil Van Dijk, Victor Wanyama and towards the end of his stay, French striker Moussa Dembele.

Whilst he had these successes like many recruitment teams had his failures. To name a few the likes of Derk Boerrigter, Amido Balde and Mo Bangura.

He departed the club in 2016 when Brendan Rodgers was at the helm and quickly replaced by Lee Congerton who many will of course know didn’t have the greatest of times in terms of recruitment either.

Park has had spells at the likes of Maccabi Haifa and Vancouver Whitecaps since leaving Parkhead and now finds himself with this new role over in Poland.
