Jozo Simunovic was sent off in a pre-season friendly abroad last summer the defender was banned for the first two games of the SPFL season as a result.

Tonight, another Scottish club suffered a red card on foreign soil during a friendly and we await the outcome from the SFA.

Celtic drew 0-0 with St Gallen’s last summer and Jozo got sent off in the tie. Inexplicably, the SFA punished the player. We’d like to think the same standard will be held this summer for any sendings off for any Scottish clubs playing friendlies.

Celtic and their Glasgow rivals are both playing in France and played inside Lyon’s stadium within hours of each other. An impressive 2-0 victory for last season’s runners up while Celtic drew 1-1 with Nice, even though they had a legitimate goal chopped off. No red cards though!

The bhoys will take on Lyon this weekend.

  1. I watched the Huns game, and listened to CRAGAN the HUN APOLOGIST. The THUG Kent slaps the guy who brought him down, and right in front of the ref, Red card, no doubt about it. Then Steven the Ipox Apologist gets his gum s bumping. Harsh, the other player is as guilty as Kent, and for 11 minutes the Apologist talks the biggest load of bollox in defence of the thug Kent. Similar theme for the wean Jack gets a kick on the ankle, he’s crying (again) that his leg is damaged. Cragan is off again squealing poor wee Jack is a martyr, 10 seconds later he’s up and running around. No wonder Cragan never wanted to manage, he could never handle the pressure. He isn’t man enough. The man is a big mouth earning an Ipox backhander to talk sh1t. Absolute w@nker.
