CHRIS SUTTON is still in disbelief that Celtic’s star striker Kyogo Furuhashi didn’t make the Japan World Cup squad. The former Hoops striker commenting Celtic and will be scratching their heads had the omission.
Japan and Germany have gone head to head on Wednesday afternoon in Qatar, Daizen Maeda, the only Celtic representative in the Japan squad.
Daizen had the ball in the back of the net for his country against Germany, but it was rightfully called offside by the officials.
While Chris wished Maeda all the best for the World Cup, he was still miffed at the decision to leave star man Kyogo behind.
Daizen Maeda starts for Japan against Germany. Good luck to him🍀🇯🇵. Many Celtic fans will be scratching their heads and wondering how Kyogo Furuhashi hasn’t made the Japan squad though…

It was a strange snub at the time. Speaking to folk back in Japan, it was thought both Kyogo and Maeda would make the squad, with Hatate being an outside shot.
Instead, Kyogo was snubbed and found himself travelling to Australia with Celtic last week and now has some time off ahead of the bhoys Portugal training camp, which starts at the end of December.
