CELTIC are back in action after 131 days but before kick-off in France on Thursday evening, both sets of players, to a man, took a knee in solidarity with the black lives matter campaign.

Something which many clubs have done since the eyes of the world fell on America after some shocking scenes.

This is the first chance the club and players have been able to stand in solidarity with BLM and it was good to see them all taking part.

This is Celtic’s first of three games in France before heading back to Scotland to prepare for the start of the new season.

Nice followed by Lyon and finishing off with a daunting game against PSG.

It’s all about getting fit for the new season and also getting used to playing in a largely empty stadium. When the bhoys do return in August, Celtic Park will have very few people in it.
