CeltsAreHere.com have been advised the Celtic shop in Glasgow City centre will be closed on Saturday due to safety concerns.

It appears an online campaign by Ibrox fans to get people out on the street to take part in an illegal march to George square is the catalyst for the decision to close the shop.

Last time out when rival fans made a mess of Glasgow City centre, the shop was targeted and windows smashed. If the shop was open the club obviously feel the staff could be in the firing line this time around and they’ve taken the decision not to open.

It’s a sensible move under the circumstance but entirely depressing that it has to happen.

We’re coming out of lockdown slowly but surely. However, there’s been a warning from the government Glasgow is in a precarious position and with cases on the rise, mass gatherings could be something that tips things the wrong way for the City and surrounding areas.

People need to take personal responsibility and do the right thing for the City, there’s plenty of time to party when things get back to normal.

  1. Police Scotland need to take responsibility for the job they’re paid to do and protect the honest respectable people of Glasgow, and their property, from the scum who have dragged their ugly rotting corpses from out their stinking graves to run riot in Glasgows Fair City!
They’ve had plenty of warning, they know exactly what’s going to happen and when, it was published in the record ffs, they have absolutely no excuse from stopping these scumbag thugs going on a rampage, before it starts.

If the shoe was on the other foot there would be a riot in the Calton, believe it!

Whatever damage is done on the day, the blame can be left squarely at the feet of Police Scotland and Nicola Sturgeon for not making it crystal clear that this behaviour should, under no circumstances, be allowed to stand.

  2. If this allowed to happen it will be a disgrace if they allow rather than have riot they have to stop it no matter who it is its honest people against thugs and criminal if you go against the rules of the countries laws your a criminal and any body that goes there should be treated like criminal and if you bring children it to that arena you are not fit to to be parents
