An emergency meeting between all the SPFL club have taken place early this morning with the current shutdown and the financial fall out from it being top of the agenda.

BBC have confirmed the meeting took place by video conference and how the clubs and league proceed from here is still up in the air.

So many clubs are running into financial difficulties at the moment and the SPFL payout yesterday might hold some relief for some but others, not so much.

Celtic are equipped to deal with the current crisis but sadly many of our clubs live month to month.

The sooner we can try and get a date for football returning, the better. However, with the official lockdown of the UK in its fourth day at the moment – there’s no send in sight.

As always, we put these things into context because there’s so much more important things happening right now.
