DUNDEE have put a £1.5million transfer fee on the head of young Jack Hendry as speculation on the defender’s future intensifies.

The 22-year-old has been on top form this season and Celtic have been linked with a move for the former Wigan player throughout this window.

The club has already secured Marvin Compper in this window but after letting Erik Sviatchenko go out on-loan, another defender may be signed before the deadline.

With Rodgers keen to nurture young Scottish talent, will he be put off by the £1.5million fee for a player who has very little experience at this point.

Dundee obviously want the best price they can get for Jack but the current price for such an unknown quantity may put Celtic off.
