JOHN MCGINN has broken his summer long silence to speak about the speculation linking him with a move away from Hibs and in particular to Celtic.

The midfielder has had a long transfer window, awaiting news about a potential move to Celtic with the club having three bids thrown out for the 23-year-old.

John McGinn is a Celtic fan and a former Celtic season ticket holder, there is no doubt where he wants to be but the young lad is taking nothing for granted and is being as professional as they come.

Speaking about the speculation McGinn said “It was really hard initially but when you’re on the football park, you forget,”

“You’re walking along the street and everyone is asking you. It’s no bother for the first few times but then it starts getting annoying.

“It’s tough, I’ve never hidden from the fact that there will be a time that I move on but it will have to be the right time and the right moment but obviously that’s not come yet.

John has one more year left on his contract and could sign a pre-contract in January with Celtic should they drop interest this summer.

There have been rumours of Premier League interest in the Hibs star but there’s no doubt where he wants to be.
