Celtic target Kyle Joseph is reportedly close to completing a pre-contract move to Celtic after supposed interest from other clubs, ‘favouring’ a move to the Hoops in the summer.

As reported by the Mail Online, reports have come out in the last few days suggesting that Celtic are moving closer to completing a move for the young Wigan striker who has also been earmarked by the likes of Arsenal and rivals Rangers.

So far this campaign Jospeh has scored five goals in 12 appearances and looks to be a player with a bright future in the game.

With the club using the cross-border compensation fee to our advantage, this could be a shrewd signing, picking up a talent and well-thought-of player for such a cheap price.

It is certainly a market we will need to start looking into more as a club with the incoming change to the transfer rules due to Brexit and it appears we may already be doing so by signing both Jospeh and Sheffield Wednesday’s Liam Shaw.
