Reports from down south have made the claim that top Celtic target Luca Connell will not be able to move to another club without a negotiated fee being agreed even though he does not have a professional contract with Bolton.

It has been widely reported the player would be available to sign for the Scottish Champions for a nominal enforced FIFA development fee but Bolton News have claimed because the Luca is on a scholarship with the troubled club – he wouldn’t be able to make that sort of move until next summer.

Connell has been flattered by the interest shown in him and has been clear he’s likely to leave the club this summer. Bolton are currently in administration and any money received for the defensive midfielder will go back into the pot.

Neil Lennon is said to be keen on the youngster who was recently invited to train with the full Ireland squad because the Irish setup rates him very highly.

Celtic have made a firm move for the player so they’ll know exactly what is needed to bring the player to Glasgow.
