Reported Celtic target and Exeter winger Joel Randall has spoken out on the prospect of making the move to Glasgow saying it would be a ‘dream’ to see that interest.

Speaking in an interview to the BBC, speaking about his options around an up-and-coming move, Randall was asked about the links to Celtic and the 21-year old was very honest in his answer admitting how big it was to be linked to a club like Celtic.

“I didn’t take much notice of it, the agent kept me in touch with a few things and I was aware there was some interest,” Randall said. “But at the end of the day, I was fully committed to Exeter.

“I said to them I want to be successful this season and I was just keeping my head down, working hard to play every Saturday and Tuesday for them, so it didn’t really bother me too much.”

“Of course, seeing the Celtic shout was dream stuff really, to see that interest. But I’ve got a job to do with Exeter so I can’t let it distract me.”

Randall has also had links to clubs such as Swansea City and Charlton Athletic, however, right now he is insisting that his whole focus is on Exeter City. Currently, his contract is set to expire in the summer window so there is a chance of clubs getting the left-sided player on a cheaper deal.

So far, this campaign he has played 28 games notching up eight goals and five assists in League 2.

Many may be put off by the league that he currently plays in and that is understandable. When it comes to young players though there is a chance of further development to become even better and this is probably the sort of market the club will have to start shopping in due to Brexit regulations after this summer.
