ANGE POSTECOGLOU is said to be ‘thinking’ about bringing in a left-back to the club, Record Sport report.
Greg Taylor has just signed a new long-term contract and Liam Scales has offered quality back-up to the Scotsman. However, Postecoglou is contemplating adding another player to the position.
There has only been one left back linked with Celtic over the past few months, Lee Buchan who is currently contracted to Derby County, however, Wayne Rooney is not open to selling the player despite the financial difficulties the club finds itself in.
The position has never been permanently filled after the departure of Kieran Tierney, it is unlikely it ever will be but the lack of quality is clear to see. It is arguably Celtic’s position with the least quality.
Time is running out of the January transfer window, if Celtic are serious about bringing a player to the club they must do so before midnight.
