CELTIC were due to announce their Japanese tour today, but they’ve had to delay the announcement, as they look to extend the tour.
Celtic fans could be in for a treat this summer as the club are reportedly looking to extend their potential pre–season tour of Japan to include South Korea.
So whatever Celtic were originally going to announce today isn’t happening for Reasons, but I’ve got this pretty much confirmed:
❌ Japan tour 🇯🇵
⭕️ Asia tour 🇯🇵🇰🇷— Dan Orlowitz (@aishiterutokyo) April 28, 2023
This could provide a homecoming for a number of Parkhead stars, with five Japanese players set to return to their homeland and Korean striker Hyeongyu Oh likely to attract a bumper audience.
The tour will see the Bhoys go head–to–head with some of Europe‘s biggest clubs including Manchester City, Paris Saint–Germain and Bayern Munich.
It will also allow the Asian fan base to get the opportunity to see Ange Postecoglou’s side in the flesh, with Celtic’s fan base in the continent growing after the recent transfer additions.
I’d like to see the club do a world tour, but one stage at a time, maybe visit 2 continents per year.
We just done Australia, now onto Asia, we travel Europe regularly and frequent the Middle East… where’s up next; Africa or the America’s? … I’d like to see us visit Brazil, think that could be special
No demand for us in Brazil or Africa so we wouldn’t make any money , which nowadays, is the main reason for the pre-season tour
