CELTIC is looking to offload many players this summer as the rebuild continues to slim the squad before adding quality depth to each position.

Celtic will look to see off Ismailia Soro, Vasilas Barkas, Albian Ajeti and Boli Bolingoli. All four players have been forgotten about this season, with the group barely appearing on the bench.

However, The Athletic reports that there may be an issue. The players earn a high salary at Celtic, and finding a club willing to satisfy the players’ demands may prove challenging to move on.

Barkas was close to a loan to buy deal in January. However, both moves he was linked to fell through because the financial package was not satisfactory.

Soro has also been close to moving to the MLS, but nothing has come of it.

Bolingoli was sent to Russia on loan in the winter window, but the country’s invasion of Ukraine saw the player have visa issues and return home.

Albian Ajeti had played for Ange a few times when Kyogo and Giakoumkis were injured at the start of the season; despite bagging a few goals, he was pretty much an empty shirt.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens regarding outgoings in the summer. Celtic will be keen to create space in the squad.

You’ve got to feel for the players that haven’t had a look in this season that a move away is the best thing for both parties.
