CELTIC will break from the norm on Saturday afternoon and not hold a traditional 60 second applause to honour Billy McNeill.

Instead, the club will hold a 67 SECOND applause instead to honour Celtic’s greatest ever captain with SunSport reporting club officials will make it happen after it was suggested to them.

As the fans set to gather in large numbers since Billy’s passing it will be a day where the whole of the Celtic family will pay tribute to the Celtic giant who sadly passed away on Monday night.

The 67 seconds is a nice touch with Billy’s finest hour coming in 1967 when he lifted the big cup high above his head in Lisbon.

Before the game, the first team will be laying a wreath outside Celtic Park an hour and a half before kick off. The players will also be wearing black armbands with the number 5 on them as they take on Kilmarnock.

The bhoys are looking to virtually wrap up the title on Saturday with a win against Steve Clarke’s men.
