CELTIC were last night linked with a move for Christopher Jullien from Toulouse with one media outlet in France claiming the player had already been shown around Lennoxtown.
While the visit cannot be confirmed the link appears to be very much real with Celtic showing some ambition in the transfer market to try and land the 6ft 4″ defender. This has got a lot of Celtic supporters excited.
If they could land a defender like Jullien before the Champions League qualifiers, it would give the whole club a massive boost with a problem position at the club being filled as well.
The downside to this deal for Celtic’s money men is the player does not come cheap and with two years left on his Toulouse deal the French club are looking for around €8m. But according to RecordSport the club ARE in talks over a potential blockbuster deal.
Timothy Castagne admitted in the past few weeks Celtic had tabled a similar bid for his services in January with Atalanta knocking it back so it would not be out of the realms of possibility for Celtic to spend that much on one player.
We watch and wait, with Celtic looking to do business as promptly as possible, we could be in for an interesting summer.
