It has been confirmed this morning by @CelticFCSLO that there will be no First Team matches which supporters will be able to attend until the Hoops resume domestic action.

Some had hoped that with the Scottish champions heading to Portugal for a warm weather winter training camp there may have been a chance to watch them live in action after the Hoops have already taken on Sydney FC and Everton during this World Cup break in the Sydney Super Cup although this game is a bit closer to home.

Celtic are scheduled to take on Ligue 1 side Rennes who are a familiar foe from years gone by but it appears that the match will be played behind closed doors.

9th November 2022; Fir Park, Motherwell, N Lanarkshire, Scotland, Scottish Premier league football, Motherwell versus Celtic: Celtic supporters

It takes place one week before the Scottish champions resume their domestic duties against Aberdeen which is expected to include captain Callum McGregor who will return to the team and feature in the friendly match first.

While there won’t be an opportunity to watch the senior team, supporters can still get along to the Celtic B and Celtic Women’s matches in the mean time at Excelsior Stadium in Airdrie.

Both sides have had decent starts to their season and are still in the mix at the top ends of the table.
