Happy year Celtic Family! 2016 is gone but what a way to end it by beating our cross town rivals Rangers on New Year’s Eve at the Ibrox. Nineteen points clear with a game in hand as well.

I was streaming the match on a tour bus that was traveling around Germany on my iPhone & could only manage to watch the first half. The 2nd half I had no reception & literally was losing my mind that I couldn’t watch the match – the suspense was killing me. I was obviously nervous when Celtic went a goal down but once again Moussa Dembele proved he’s a man on a mission to set things right with a superb brilliant first touch then smashing it into the back of the net. Pick.It.Out.

From there Celtic kicked on, the first thirty minutes was a little shaky but typical Celtic showing why they are a champion team by weathering the storm & sticking as a solid unit.

Let’s get one thing straight as well. If The Rangers are coming out claiming they’re close to beating Celtic after EVERY game we beat them, how come their team is nineteen points behind the leaders, not just because they struggle against the Scottish Champions but many sides in the league. Next Christmas is coming before they are.

Rodgers’ looking to strengthen his already talented squad.

Celtic are not shirking from the task at hand, ten in a row is in everybody’s thoughts and with Brendan Rodgers looking to strengthen from a position of dominance this January window who knows what the team can achieve this season. There’s definitely a surge of confidence around this not just the team but the club as a whole. 2017 will be another big year for the hoops & many more tears down in Govan. It used to be a case of second is nowhere, now it’s everything to them. We welcome the chase.

Looking forward to getting back into the ring this year as well in the pro ranks. TongaTim time is coming! Once again have a great and blessed new year!

Until next time. Hail Hail!

Tonga Tim
