David Marshall will NOT be returning to Celtic as it stands with Stoke City offering a way out of administration hit Wigan this summer.

The fort we Celtic youth academy product has been linked with a return to the club as the bhoys looks to fill the spot left by Fraser Forster. While the deal to bring Forster back to the club isn’t completely dead, Celtic and Neil Lennon are weighing up their options.

If Stoke City get a deal done quickly, Celtic are unlikely to jump the gun and chase David’s signature. Being from Glasgow, there’s a good chance the goalkeeper would fancy a return and hold off to see if Celtic firm up their offer

But according to SunSport Michael O’Neill and the Potters are very keen to get the shot stopper in the door.

Celtic are down in England at the moment training ahead of the new season next month.
