Derry City bhoy Michael Duffy done his chances of a Celtic move no harm by grabbing a brace in the developmental sides 3-1 win over Newcastle yesterday.

The 20 year old is over for his second trial with Celtic and has surely impressed by getting among the goals.

Developmental coach Stevie Frail spoke after the game and said no decisions had been made yet on the players future.

Michael has yet to get any real face time with Ronny Deila and that is unlikely to happen this time around as the first team are in Gran Canaria but he was optimistic speaking earlier this week about winning a deal.

“So far I’ve done well but hopefully I can prove myself again. I haven’t really spoken to the manager so I will just see how it goes.” said Michael.

If Michael does make the move from Derry City he certainly wouldn’t be the first with Paddy McCourt and Niall McGinn making the same move in the past.
