The latest edition of World Soccer Magazine [Print Edition] has THREE Celtic players in their World Soccer 500 – an annual list comprised of the biggest talents in our game today.

During their time at Celtic, we’ve had the likes of Virgil van Dijk and Kieran Tierney on the list when playing for the Hoops.

This year, three Celtic stars make the grade: Kyogo Furuhashi, Callum McGregor and David Turnbull.

Kyogo is only getting going in a Celtic jersey but the signs are promising he can have a major impact at the club and leave an absolute hero when all is said and done.

Cal Mac has already made history with Celtic but is now looking to do it as captain. Working under Scott Brown for years and being at the club since he was nine years of age is particularly pleasing. McGregor is stepping up at international level too and could be part of a special Scotland side.

David Turnbull is still young and finding his way but his talent is undeniable. The midfielder hasn’t been as consistent as he would’ve liked this season so far, but he has shown what he can do in glimpses. Ange is demanding more from his players and David is still finding his way.

All three can have a major impact on Celtic in the short to medium future.

Celtic are six points behind in the title race at the moment and really need their top stars to step up. Beyond these three players, we have guys like Jota and Abada who can really turn on the style and get this team purring.

It’s all going to come down to organising the defence. Celtic have lost 83% of their goals this season from crosses into the box, we have to find a way to become less vulnerable in the air. Could a change in fortune coincide with a Jullien return?
