CELTIC were terrific in the summer market, securing Carter-Vickers and Jota and strengthening the team by adding some more quality to positions.

Oliver Abildgaard and Sead Haksabanovic signed for Celtic in the last week in the transfer window, while Aaron Mooy joined the club late in July. The Celtic manager has admitted his expectations weren’t high, acknowledging that the players were thrown in at the depend after they missed pre-season with the squad.

However, despite this, the manager is still pleased with each of their contributions, with some more impactful than others.

“I think with Aaron, and probably Haksabanovic and Abildgaard having come in so late into the season, our expectations weren’t massive regarding their contribution.

“So I think what they have contributed so far has been great, hopefully, we’ll see the best of them in the next part of the season.”

Haksabanovic and Mooy have played significant parts in the team, starting a fair few matches each. Abildgaard is yet to start for the club, and his impact hasn’t been felt as much as the others. He’s mainly appeared from the bench in the closing stages of games, and is yet to have the opportunity to impress the Celtic fans.
