Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou, captain Callum McGregor and acting chief executive Michael Nicholson laid a wreath outside Celtic Park this afternoon for Bertie Auld as the trio remembered the Celtic legend.

Bertie passed at the weekend, the outpouring of emotion over his death is truly remarkable and the mark of the kind of person he was in life.

Nearly everyone who has come into contact with the wee man over the years has their very own Bertie story, some that can be repeated and some that most certainly can’t!

The Celtic trio represented the club today outside the stadium and took a minute to stand and reflect.

Ange and Callum have already paid tribute to Bertie through the club website but today, placing the wreath next to many other flowers placed down at Celtic Park – it was great to see them paying their respects.

Bertie is immortal; part of the famous Lisbon team that won the big cup and brought it back. But he’ll be remembered for much more than that. Bertie was the embodiment of all things good about Celtic. He was a supporter and he loved behind among his own. He’ll be greatly missed by the Celtic family.
