There’s nothing at stake in footballing terms against Real Betis on Thursday evening, but there’s financial incentive for the club to grab a result.

With all the places in Celtic’s group already solidified after our late collapse in Germany two weeks ago, the bhoys know they will be playing Conference League football come February.

However, before they bow out of the Europa League for this season, the Hoops have an opportunity to grab one last win bonus.

If the bhoys can get a win over the Spaniard’s, the club will collect a €630k win bonus from UEFA, money not to be sniffed at from Celtic’s perspective.

Even a draw would net the club €210k.

Heading into the January transfer window, every little helps!

Ange has hinted he will give some of his top guys a rest and bring in some fringe players to fill out the squad on the night. Real Betis might be thinking the same thing too, but the Celtic board will be hoping whoever plays can grab the bonus.
