THE UEFA Youth League kicks off for the young Celtic side on Tuesday afternoon, with Real Madrid’s side visiting the Penny Cars stadium for the encounter. The sides meet five hours before the senior sides play their match against the Spanish champions.

It’s hoped that a decent crowd will get along to support the team despite the afternoon kick-off time during the week.

Darren O’Dea has named a strong side for the encounter, filled with regulars.

The B team coach stressed to CeltsAreHere.com at the pre-match press conference that they were treating it as any Lowland League game but stressed the excitement surrounding the match. It’s not often that the Celtic youth sides meet one of the best in the world.

It’s a big test against a team that’s won the competition before, but it’s an invaluable experience for the players who will participate this afternoon.

For those unable to get along to Airdrie this afternoon, BT Sport 1 is showing the game. It can also be watched on the UEFA website.
