Celtic will have a home leg again for the fifth round of the Scottish Cup when they will square up to Saint Johnstone. Celtic earned their 5th round place last night when they beat Airdrie at Paradise.

Goals from Scott Sinclair (2) and newly signed Timothy Weah secured the current holder’s progression. A home tie for round 5 will be most welcome by the Hoops. We’re not really allowed to mention the words “Treble Treble” as it is way too early to be getting carried away. The reality is Brendan Rodgers has yet to lose a domestic trophy.

If Celtic are playing in a final this May, Rodgers could be going for his ninth trophy in 3 seasons providing he and his team have tucked away another league title. Celtic’s home form is incredible this season in domestic competition. The Bhoys have yet to lose a game at Celtic Park.

Celtic will now face Saints three times in a fortnight.
The full draw is below.

Aberdeen/Stenhousemuir vs Dundee/Queen of the South
East Fife v Partick Thistle
St Mirren v Dundee United
Hearts vs Auchinleck Talbot
Kilmarnock vs Cowdenbeath/Rangers
Hibs vs Raith Rovers
Ross County vs Inverness CT

Edit* The Scottish Cup 5th Round tie will be played on the weekend of February 9th, 2019.
