CELTIC are said to be ‘very serious’ in their pursuit of Bayern Munich youngster Christopher Scott.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder’s contract is coming to an end. However, there have been some reports that the German club are looking at using their option to extend it before selling the player.

It’s a smart move from the club, covering their backs and could potentially install a buy-back clause, which means that Celtic will have to fork out more money for the player.

With minimal minutes, the signs point to an exit with Celtic named to be one of the clubs after the youngster.

Celtic has already held talks with the player ahead of a potential summer move. It will show yet more ambition for the club if a deal is struck.

The Daily Record reports that Celtic are ‘very serious’ in pursuing the player. The paper also notes that Celtic could sign the player for under â‚¬500,000.
