BRENDAN RODGERS spoke at today’s press conference about speculation linking long time Celtic player Emilio Izaguirre with a move away from the club.
The Irishman admitted there might be movement on that front after Izzy has attracted interest from ‘outside Europe’.
Rodgers said: “He’s come back in and been training. There’s maybe an opportunity for him to go elsewhere outside of Europe.”
It’s something we’ll speak with him and his agent about, and then we’ll take it from there.”
Izzy thought he was gone at the same time as Ronny Deila was two seasons ago and done a farewell lap of Celtic Park only for Brendan Rodgers to keep a hold of him.
If he does go, there will be many Celtic fans sad to see him leave the Hoops.

I will be very sorry to see him go I would do anything to keep him.Izzy is a great credit to Team Celtic him and his family he is great back up at left back and other positions Please KEEP him for another Two years
We lost Tierny for almost 3 months last season, was he missed? To a certain extent yes. But no where near as we all expected, why? Easy answer EMILIO IZAGUIRRE!!! No one should forget his contribution towards the season of invincibility. What a luxury to have the two best left backs in Scotland. SIGN HIM, KEEP HIM, PLAY HIM.
Good luck Izzy. HH ?
A good, hardworking servant to Celtic. He should be given another 2 – 3 seasons as back up to Tierney. He will be missed.
