The wait is almost over. Celtic finally get their 2026/27 Scottish Premiership campaign underway on Monday night when Dundee make the trip to Celtic Park.
While the rest of the league kicks off over the weekend and Rangers already dropped their first points of the season on Friday evening, the champions are the final team to get their domestic season started. But not before raising the championship flag!

What time is Celtic vs Dundee?
Celtic take on Dundee on Monday, August 3, with kick-off scheduled for 7:30pm (CPT).
The match will be played at Celtic Park, where Martin O’Neill’s side will be looking to make the perfect start to another title defence.
Is Celtic vs Dundee on TV?
Yes.
The match will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football, with coverage beginning at 6:30pm, an hour before kick-off.
Can I live stream the game?
Sky Sports subscribers can watch the match live through the Sky Go app on supported mobile devices, tablets and computers.
Supporters outside the UK and Ireland should also check Celtic Player, which is expected to provide live coverage in eligible international territories, subject to broadcast restrictions.
Why is the game on Monday?
Celtic’s opener was pushed back from the traditional weekend slot because the closing weekend of the 2026 Commonwealth Games coincides with the opening round of Premiership fixtures as well as Calvin Harris playing at Hampden. With events taking place at the nearby Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, authorities opted to move the fixture to Monday evening.
A big night at Celtic Park
The interest levels have picked up for Hoops fans since Kasper Hogh entered the building, although the Dane only represents one of two signings so far with a squad thta still needs major surgery.
Supporters will get their first proper look at Kasper and Camilo Duran in a league setting, while Martin O’Neill will be hoping his side can lay down an early marker in the title race.
Monday night’s game rounds off the first set of league matches and gives the champions the opportunity to begin the season with three points in front of a packed Paradise.
