Celtic play Kilmarnock in the 3rd game of the SPFL season and here’s what you need to know.

After a comfortable 3-1 win over Ross County, the bhoys will be looking to go 3 for 3 at Rugby Park. This will be the first time the champions will play Kilmarnock since 2021, the season Killie were relegated to the Championship.

Where and When

The game will be played away at Rugby Park on Sunday with an early kick-off of 12:00.

The game will be available to watch on Sky Sports and available to Celtic TV subscribers outside the UK and Ireland.

Team News 

Hatate and Starfelt are out, while Stephen Welsh will undergo a late fitness test on Sunday morning.

Yosuke Ideguchi is still a long way from fitness, Age Postecoglou telling the media the player is still sporting stitches from a training ground tackle.

The hoops should be confident going into the game despite Kilmarnock’s 4g pitch. Celtic have been known to struggle on these types of surfaces, but the starting 11 have been getting the Job done. The Bhoys managed a massive win away to Livingston last season to help bring on the title.
