Celtic supporters heading to Hampden this Sunday have been urged to double-check their digital tickets after reports of delays with the SFA’s virtual ticket system.
As most fans will know, Hampden switched to a paperless, app-based ticketing system over the past 18 months, with all match access now handled through their official mobile application. Instead of physical or print-at-home tickets, supporters must download the app and have their QR code scanned at the turnstiles.
Celtic communicated on Wednesday night that tickets for Sunday’s League Cup semi-final against Rangers would begin dropping into supporters’ Hampden apps by Thursday. However, a number of fans have reported that their tickets are still yet to appear by Thursday evening, despite receiving confirmation of purchase.

Thursday was the official time frame for all tickets to be distributed, meaning that anyone still waiting should now take immediate action. If you have not yet received your virtual ticket contact the Celtic Ticket Office as soon as possible to ensure entry is secured and avoid matchday chaos.

With the system still relatively new, minor technical hiccups have been a recurring frustration at major Hampden fixtures, especially when large numbers of supporters try to access the platform simultaneously.
