Celtic were good money for their win in Budapest, even if they made the last few minutes a bit more difficult than they should’ve been.

The Hoops ran out 3-2 winners against the home side in Hungary; goals from Kyogo, Jota and Abada sealed the win for Ange Postecoglou’s men.

But what does this win mean for the group and where do we stand?

Celtic’s Europeans Fate

The Bhoys are now GUARANTEED European football past Christmas and will drop into the Conference League at a very minimum. A third place finish is the worst Celtic can now do.

There’s still a chance of second place. We are only one point behind Real Betis in second.

So what’s up next?

We have Bayer Leverkusen away in Matchday 5, for us to take it to the Real Betis game. We need to get a result against Bayer OR we will need Ferencvaros to get points on the board for the first time in this group stage against Betis.

If either of the above scenarios occurs, there would be a showdown in Glasgow for the second spot.

Whoever finishes second will face a third placed Champions league team in the next round.

It’s a decent position to be in and we can still do it!
