Celtic winger Mikey Johnston has ditched his long time agency to sign with a new agent – the 23 year old joining Avid Sports and Entertainment Group this summer. [SunSport]

Avid Sports and Entertainment Groups most notable client is former Rangers* loanee, Aaron Ramsey as well as current Celt James Forrest.

For majority of Johnston’s career at Celtic, he hasn’t been able to get a consistent run of games in the first team due to issues with injuries.

He made his first team debut for the club in May 2017 against St Johnstone not long after his eighteenth birthday but hasn’t hit the heights some have hoped for.

He did play his part in helping the group get success this season with the winger making 20 appearances for Celtic. Most notably playing the majority of the League Cup final to win the first piece of silverware under Ange Postecoglou.

Johnston last featured for the Hoops in a 3-0 away win at Tannadice in the Scottish Cup but has since been very rarely involved in the squad.

With the switch of agent in mind it begs the question as to whether the winger could be on the move away from Celtic Park. He is contracted to the club until 2025 but it was rumoured in January that he would potentially be heading north for a loan move to Aberdeen.
