However, it appears there’s no serious injury involved, and it should be all good for the player touching back down in Scotland.

According to Al Araby, the winger is dealing with a minor thigh issue. He underwent medical tests on Monday morning which confirmed the problem is not serious, but he has been advised to rest for a few days.

Tounekti is expected to be available for Tunisia before the international break ends, meaning his return to Celtic shouldn’t be delayed.

The 23-year-old has been a bright spark since arriving at Parkhead late on deadline day, injecting pace and directness into Celtic’s wide play.

Celtic had been tracking the player all summer, but chose to strike late.

He’s always looking to create something on the left-wing and is very much a player who can keep fans on the edge of their seats.

With a busy run of fixtures coming up, fans will be eager to see him back in action and continuing his promising start in green and white.

That all starts with a trip to Dens Park next Sunday to face Dundee, who sit 11th in the league table.
