After a stellar season which saw them secure a maiden SWPL title, Celtic women are already strengthening for the forthcoming campaign.
The departures of league winners Shen Menglu and Shen Mengyu were confirmed this morning, but since, two new signings have been announced.
Indeed, twin sisters Mathilde and Signe Carstens have been brought in from Danish top-tier side Fortuna Hjorring:
🆕 We are thrilled to announce our third AND fourth summer signings, Mathilde and Signe Carstens 🆕
The Danish twin sisters both join #CelticFC Women from Kvindeligaen side, Fortuna Hjørring ✍
Welcome to Glasgow, Mathilde & Signe! 🇩🇰🍀

Both players have penned two-year deals in Glasgow’s east end. Mathilde is an attacking player while Signe will add much-needed depth to the middle of the pitch.
The pair become the third and fourth additions to Elena Sadiku’s ever-growing squad this summer.
Teenage talent Amy Richardson was announced on Monday after Shannon McGregor arrived from Hibernian last week.
There will be a significant overturn of players in the Women’s side this window, but that won’t negate the Ghirls’ key objective of retaining the title next season and making even more history.
