Tegan Bowie and Chloe Warrington are both celebrating this evening after landing their first professional deals with the Celtic women’s side.

The Hoops went pro last year and made a big impact on the season, coming second in the league narrowly behind Glasgow City and securing a Champions League spot.

Fran Alonso is now going about building his squad for next season and both Tegan and Chloe will be a part of the action.

Chloe has been with Celtic since the age of 7 and has signed her first pro deal at 19, she must be ecstatic. The young defender already has 17 appearances to her name and will be looking to add to that in the next campaign.

Speaking to the Celtic website, Chloe said: “I can’t really put it into words,”

“It’s what you work for from being a kid and it’s one of your dreams, so to put pen to paper last week was definitely a proud achievement in my short career so far.

“I thought I did alright last season, so it was something I was hoping for coming into this year and I definitely wanted to go pro so the hard work paid off.

“It shows the coaches and the manager notice when you put in the hard work, and you will get the reward for it. Obviously the hard work doesn’t stop now that I have my pro contract but I’ll definitely keep pushing on and on.”

Tegan Bowie came in from Hibernian back in 2018, she has represented her country at academy level and has won silverware with the Celtic academy side in 2019. The versatile winger who can play a variety of roles has also made 17 appearances for the club to date.

We can’t wait to see the girls play in the Champions League.
